Man stabbed to death in bungalow

A murder inquiry is under way after a 50-year-old man died after being stabbed in Nottinghamshire.

Police were called to a bungalow in Normanton Larches near Clumber Park at about 1900 GMT on Wednesday following reports a man had been stabbed.

He was taken to Bassetlaw District General Hospital but died a short time later, police said.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out in Leicester to establish the cause of death.

Det Supt Kevin Flint said: "This property is in an isolated spot and we would like to hear from anyone who was in the Clumber Park area last night and who may have seen anything suspicious or from anyone who may have any relevant information."

The bungalow has been sealed off while police carry out a forensic search of the property.
