Festive shoppers get free parking

Free parking is on offer to entice Christmas shoppers to Nottingham, council officials have announced.

Nottingham City Council is waiving charges at three car parks on some late shopping nights in December.

The council said it was to help people during the economic downturn as well as businesses facing a difficult Christmas trading period.

The free parking will be available at Trinity Square, Broadmarsh and Fletcher Gate car parks.
