Gang steals £40,000 of jewellery

A gang forced its way into a Nottingham house before stealing about £40,000 of jewellery.

A 14-year-old boy was pinned to the floor after answering the door of the property in Naseby Close, Old Basford on 22 October.

Four intruders searched the house, taking a laptop and a safe, which contained the jewellery. The boy was shaken but not badly hurt, said police.

One of the gang was described as white, in his 40s, with a bald head.

Anyone with information about the robbery should contact the Nottinghamshire force.
