Two people have been charged with illegally growing cannabis after a raid at a warehouse in Nottingham.

A man aged 50, Quan Quoc Dang, and a woman, Thu Thi Nguyen, 48, were arrested by officers at Northern Court in Old Basford on Thursday.

More than 1,000 cannabis plants with a street value of about £500,000 were seized at the warehouse, Nottinghamshire Police said.

The two defendants will appear at Nottingham Magistrate's Court later.

Officers said it was one of the largest commercial cannabis factories they had ever raided in the city.
