Third Sunday of train disruption

East Midlands Trains is amending its timetable this weekend, because some drivers are not making themselves available for work.

It will be the third Sunday in a row on which services have been disrupted in this way.

Routes facing disruption are between Norwich and Liverpool via Nottingham and between Nottingham and Skegness.

Services to London St Pancras and between Derby and Crewe, and Derby and Matlock should not be affected.

An amended timetable is being implemented on the Nottingham-Lincoln route via Newark as engineering work is being carried out.

East Midlands Trains depends on train drivers volunteering to work overtime to operate the Sunday service.

The staff who are not turning up for work are believed to be protesting against the dismissal of a colleague.
