Man in court over cocaine charge

A Nottingham man has appeared in court charged with supplying class A drugs to an undercover journalist.

It is alleged Gary Pennant, 44, of Radford, Nottingham, supplied crack cocaine and heroin to a News of the World reporter in January this year.

No pleas were entered during a brief hearing at the city's magistrates' court and he spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.

Mr Pennant was granted bail and will appear in court again on 22 September.
