TV talk show host Jeremy Kyle has been involved in a crash where a car flipped over in Nottinghamshire.

The ITV presenter was a passenger in a black BMW which was involved in a crash with a silver Mazda on the A1 near Blyth at 1405 BST on Monday afternoon.

He was travelling to Doncaster, South Yorkshire for filming with his show's psychotherapist Graham Stanier.

The Mazda had overturned on the carriageway and landed on its roof. The pair and the Mazda driver were unhurt.

Mr Kyle said: "Thank God no-one was injured. In any accident you are shaken, but I am fine."

Nottinghamshire Police said the road was closed until 1630 BST while firefighters dealt with an oil spillage.

Officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
