Stab suspect description issued

Mansfield Road

A description has been issued of a man wanted in connection with a serious stabbing in Nottingham.

In the early hours of Sunday a 42-year-old man was attacked in Mansfield Road, near to the Loft bar.

He required emergency surgery at the Queen's Medical Centre, where he is in a critical but stable condition.

Police want to identify a man, described as white, 25 to 35, 5ft 6ins to 6ft tall, of skinny to medium build, with short, dark brown hair.

He was unshaven with some stubble, a blotchy complexion, gaunt features, and was wearing a light grey hooded top.

He was seen running down Mansfield Road, and last seen in North Sherwood Street.

Detectives are still keen to speak to revellers who were in and around the Loft bar and who may have been approached by a man attempting to obtain an entrance fee from customers.
