Street attack 'attempted murder'

Scene of stabbing

The stabbing of a man on a Nottingham street is being treated as attempted murder, police have confirmed.

The 21-year-old victim was found after officers were called to the Shakespeare Street area early on Sunday morning.

Detectives are studying CCTV footage and want to talk to anyone who had either been in the Halo nightclub or were in the area at the time.

The man remains in a critical but stable condition in the city's Queen's Medical Centre.
