Men released in river death probe

Four men arrested in connection with the unexplained death of a Nottinghamshire man have been released without charge.

The body of Brian Gibson, 20, of Yorke Drive, Newark, was found in the water at Besthorpe Jetty on the River Trent in Newark on 29 April.

Mr Gibson had been missing since 13 April when he was last seen close to the river.

Four men aged 31, 23, 22 and 20, who were arrested have now been released.

Officers said they were continuing their investigation into Mr Gibson's death and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
