Detectives hunting sex attacker

Police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a woman in Newark.

He struck on the cycle track running between London Road and Barnby Gate late in the afternoon last Thursday.

The victim told police a man riding a moped approached as she was walking along the track and carried out a sexual assault.

The man is described as white, aged between 17 and 20, slim with short blonde spiky hair. He is also thought to have a local accent.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses, who should contact Nottinghamshire Police or Crimestoppers.
