Drinkers smash 23 windows in pub

A Northamptonshire pub had all its windows smashed after a group of drinkers was asked to leave.

Staff at The Duke of York in St Andrews Road, Northampton, asked around 15 men and women to leave the premises.

The group became aggressive smashing glasses inside, and after they left all of the building's 23 windows were smashed, police said.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, which took place on Friday night, to come forward.
