PCSO assaulted by four teenagers

Four teenagers were arrested after a Northamptonshire police community support officer (PCSO) was assaulted.

The assault took place in the Jubilee Avenue area of Corby, close to Bentley Walk, at about 2140 BST on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old male officer was on foot patrol when he was approached by a group of boys who became abusive.

The officer received facial injuries in the attack. He called for assistance and four boys were arrested on suspicion of assault.

A 17-year-old boy, from Corby, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Three younger boys from Corby - two aged 14, the other 13 - have been released without charge.
