Man arrested over arson bailed

A 49-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of arson after an attack on a house in Northamptonshire, has been released on police bail.

Four men were in a house on Fulmar Lane in the Hemmingwell estate area of Wellingborough, when the fire broke out in the early hours of Friday morning.

The house was extensively damaged but the men escaped unhurt, a Northamptonshire police spokesman said.

Officers said the man was released on police bail pending further inquiries.
