Hospital seeking 25 more nurses

Kettering General Hospital

A hospital in Northamptonshire is holding a recruitment fair to find 25 more nurses and midwives.

Kettering General Hospital, which has a nursing workforce of 1,400, wants to fill vacancies and increase the number of nurses and midwives at the Trust.

The fair will be held in the Prince William Education Centre all day on Saturday 5 July.

The hospital hopes to achieve foundation trust status by the autumn, so it is increasing staffing levels.

Doug Charlton, interim director of nursing and quality at the hospital, said: "At the moment we have about 25 vacancies in medical and surgical areas and this recruitment day will be an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in nursing and midwifery roles."
