Missing man police discover body

Brian Winsworth

Officers investigating the disappearance of a man from his Northamptonshire home have recovered a body from the River Nene.

Brian Winsworth, 73, was last seen on 10 May at his home in Islip.

After searching the river close to Mr Winsworth's home, officers recovered a body from the river between Titchmarsh and Islip on Wednesday night.

Formal identification of the body has not yet taken place, a police spokesman said.
