Dead man discovered next to bike

A 71-year-old man has died after being found with serious head injuries in the centre of a Northamptonshire village.

The man was found next to a bicycle between the junctions of Towcester Road and Banbury Road in Litchborough on Friday evening.

Officers said it was not clear what had happened to him and have appealed for anyone who may have seen him with his bicycle that evening to get in touch.

Police have not yet formally identified the victim.
