Microlight crash-lands into field

A microlight has crash-landed near a town in Northamptonshire.

The aircraft came down in a field at about 1215 GMT. Its pilot landed the plane on open land about one mile south of Daventry.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said it appeared no-one was injured as a result of the incident.

The Civil Aviation Authority has been notified of the incident, said the spokesman. No other information was available at this stage.
