Thieves who stole about 240 televisions valued at £72,000 from a parked lorry are being sought by police.

The televisions were taken in the early hours from the vehicle parked in Danes Way in Crick, Northamptonshire.

The robbers are believed to have used a 7.5 tonne lorry with a red cab and trailer to transport the goods. They headed off in the direction of Rugby.

The driver is described as a white man, short, of skinny build and between 28 and 30 years of age.

The stolen televisions are 20" LCD Sharp Aquos models, with the number M31A 27EL.

Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 0400 GMT, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police.
