Sweet thieves take the biscuits

Chocolate Breakaway bars worth about £9,500 have been stolen from a lorry parked in a lay-by.

The lorry was in the lay-by near Junction 1 of the A14 when it had its curtain sides slashed by thieves who stole the six pallets of bars.

Police say another vehicle would have been needed to transport the chocolate biscuits, made by Nestle, away from the scene early on Thursday morning.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the bars is asked to contact police.
