A woman died and two other people were injured in a three-car crash on a Northamptonshire road.

It happened when a BMW Z3 driven by the 22-year-old woman collided with a BMW 320 before hitting a Citroen Xsara, on the A6 Desborough bypass on Wednesday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Northamptonshire Police said.

A 50-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, who were driving the other cars, were taken to hospitals at Kettering in Northants and Walgrave in Coventry.
