Police investigating the suspected murder of York university chef Claudia Lawrence have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace.
Miss Lawrence failed to arrive for work at the University of York's Goodricke College on 19 March.
The CCTV images show a man boarding a Coastliner bus at 0539 GMT that morning at East Parade in York.
He bought a single ticket to Leeds and his journey would have taken him close to Miss Lawrence's home.
Senior investigating officer Det Supt Ray Galloway said: "Our efforts to identify the man have been unsuccessful and we are now appealing to anyone who recognises him from the CCTV images to get in touch.
"Or better still, if the man recognises himself, we appeal to him to contact us as he could have important information which could assist the investigation."
The man was wearing a dark-coloured jacket with what appears to be a lighter coloured hooded top underneath, blue jeans and has short, mid-brown hair.
He appears to be slim and was carrying a brown bag. He also paid for his fare with his left hand.
Miss Lawrence was last seen near her home on Heworth Road on 18 March and failed to arrive for work at the University of York's Goodricke College the following morning.
Crimestoppers has offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.
