Man dies in mini-digger accident

A 45-year-old man has died in an accident involving a mini-digger at a cricket club in North Yorkshire.

The victim, who was from Otley in West Yorkshire, was found dead at Bilton Cricket Club in Bilton Lane, Harrogate, on Monday afternoon.

The environmental health department of Harrogate Borough Council has started an investigation into the incident, a North Yorkshire Police spokesman said.

The Health and Safety Executive has also been informed.
