Police name man hit on crossing

Police have released the name of an 86-year-old pedestrian who died after he was hit by a car in Norfolk.

Victor Lewis, from Hellesdon in Norwich, was hit by a blue Ford Focus travelling from Boundary Road on to Mile Cross Lane in the town on Sunday.

Mr Lewis was on a pedestrian crossing when he was hit by the car. He was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but died later that day.

Officers investigating the crash have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
