Two men arrested in armed siege

Siege

Two men have been arrested after armed police were called to a siege at a block of flats in Great Yarmouth.

Armed police were called to Southtown Road at 1700 GMT on Tuesday afternoon after reports a woman was attacked.

Two men barricaded themselves inside two properties, and nearby properties were evacuated.

Two men were later arrested in connection with the incident. A woman, 23, was taken to hospital with minor head injuries.
