A lake where a teenager drowned is expected to stay closed until an investigation into his death is over.
Zabiullah Assadi, 15, had been at a family barbecue when he got into difficulties in Whitlingham Little Broad on Sunday.
Zabiullah, from Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire, was swimming at the former gravel pit with his cousin, also 15, who was rescued by family members.
Norfolk County Council confirmed Little Broad would remain closed for now.
It took two hours for the body of Zabiullah to be recovered from the water by divers.
Cordoned-off area
Police said Zabiullah was staying in the area and was enjoying an afternoon out with his family when the two boys got into difficulties while swimming.
The coastguard and Hemsby inshore lifeboat were among the emergency services that arrived on the scene shortly after 1730 BST.
The boy's body was finally recovered from the water at about 2000 BST.
Whitlingham Little Broad has a purpose-made beach and an unsupervised cordoned-off area for paddling and swimming.
Insp Andrew Taylor, from Norfolk Police, said the teenager's body had been found some eight to 10m (nine to 11 yds) outside the cordoned-off area.
It is thought the teenager became tangled in weeds.
