Armed robbers raid security van

Two armed robbers have raided a security van in Norfolk.

The Securicor van was targeted at a Tesco Express store in South Wootton, near King's Lynn, in the afternoon.

The robbers forced their way into the van, threatened two officers, and stole a quantity of cash. Then they made their getaway in a blue Ford Mondeo.

The Mondeo was later found abandoned in Little Walsingham Close. The vehicle has been recovered and will be forensically examined by police.

Norfolk Police appealed to anyone with information about the robbery, which took place in St Augustine's Way shortly after 1500 BST, to contact them.
