Man held after rape of woman, 87

A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the rape of an 87-year-old woman on Easter Monday.

The attack happened in the afternoon or early evening at the woman's home in Great Yarmouth.

A spokeswoman said the man was arrested on suspicion of rape at an address in Gorleston and is being questioned by detectives at a Norfolk police station.

A team of 20 detectives is working on the case and a large number of house-to-house inquiries were made.
