A new community of eco-homes is to be built in Norfolk designed by the man behind the Habitat chain.
Design guru Sir Terence Conran has developed the 22-home Drayton Hamlet, to be built in a clearing in woodland, north of Norwich.
The homes will have solar-powered hot water, toilets flushed with rainwater and triple glazing.
The three, four and five bedroom houses are expected to go on sale for up to £500,000 when complete.
Similar five bed homes in the area fetch about £300,000.
Norfolk-based Abel Homes, which are developing the properties, described the development as a "green hamlet" and said the homes will be level four on the six-levelled Code for Sustainable Homes.
Level six - zero-carbon homes - will be mandatory for all new homes built in the UK from 2016.
