Mental health trust axes 10 posts
About 10 posts will be cut at a mental health trust which has a £5.2m shortfall in its 2006/2007 budget.
Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Partnership had proposed 40 redundancies to plug the deficit.
After a consultation the trust decided that about 10 staff who had so far failed to find alternative work within the trust would be made redundant.
A spokeswoman for the trust said the future of the 30 remaining posts had "still not been decided".
"None of us ever wanted to find ourselves having to hold a redundancy consultation. It was a difficult process, conducted openly, professionally and with understanding on all sides," the trust said.
Staff who have been made redundant would be provided with help to find work outside the trust.
