A seaside resort came to a standstill to pay its final respects to a great lifeboatman on Tuesday.
More than 300 people were at the funeral in Cromer of coxswain Lewis "Tuna" Harrison, who died aged 93.
Mr Harrison, who saved dozens of lives during 45 years' service and won three bravery awards, served with Britain's most decorated lifeboatman Henry Blogg. Former lifeboat crew mate Richard Davies said he was wonderful to work with and a great seaman.
Mr Harrison, described by his son Lew as a modest man, had been due to be the guest of honour last week at the opening of the new Henry Blogg Museum on Cromer seafront.
Now the ashes of the man who devoted his life to the sea are to be scattered on the water.
