Man, 45, jailed for raping woman

A man has been jailed for raping a woman he met in a Norfolk pub.

Michael Doroba, 45, of Exmouth Road in Great Yarmouth, pleaded guilty to raping the woman, last September.

Norwich Crown Court heard Doroba had been talking to the woman in Quayside Tavern. As he walked her home, he pushed her into bushes and raped her.

Sentencing Doroba to four-and-a-half years in prison on Thursday, Judge Paul Downes said he had subjected the woman to "sexual indignity".

The court heard Doroba had no previous convictions and the attack was not premeditated.

Doroba was ordered to sign the sex offenders' registers and disqualified from working with children for life.
