Barman 'targeted' in pub shooting

A bar worker in Liverpool was shot in both legs in what Merseyside police believe was a targeted attack.

Officers were called to the Inglenook pub on Ullet Road, Toxteth, at about midnight on Sunday and found a 50-year-old man with injuries to his legs.

He was taken to hospital, where his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

The motive for the attack is unknown and police have examined the area and are looking at CCTV footage.
