Man, 21, is injured in shooting

Detectives are investigating whether the shooting of a 21-year-old man in Liverpool was a targeted attack.

The victim was found with superficial injuries to his upper body, believed to be caused by an airgun, Merseyside Police said.

A police spokesman said officers were called to Cottesbrook Road in Norris Green late on Wednesday.

The man was treated in hospital and later discharged. Forensic officers are examining the scene.
