Man seriously injured in attack

A 22-year-old man suffered serious head injuries when he was attacked by two men on Merseyside.

The victim, who lives in Childwall, Liverpool, was found with head and leg injuries on Barons Hey in Stockbridge Village at 2000 GMT.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said:"We believe the victim had been involved in a fight with two men."

The scene has been cordoned off for forensic tests to be carried out and police are patrolling the area.
