Pair robbed of business takings

Two men were robbed by a gang as they took their business takings to a bank in Liverpool.

The pair were approached outside the Lloyds TSB at West Derby Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Three men approached them, threatening them and demanding their money. A scuffle ensued and the robbers ran off with a substantial amount of cash.

One of the victims received minor cuts and bruises and both were left shaken, Merseyside police said.

The second offender was black, aged between 20 and 25 years. He was taller than the first offender and was wearing a black jumper and black bottoms.

The third man was white, about 6ft tall and wearing a red jacket.

Merseyside police are appealing for witnesses.
