Woman dies in blaze in bungalow

A woman has died in a fire at a house in Cheshire.

Fire crews were called to the semi-detached bungalow at Jubilee Green in Ellesmere Port in the early hours.

The 64-year-old woman was unconscious when she was rescued and despite efforts to resuscitate her she died at the scene.

A spokeswoman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said that an investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
