Man shot twice in targeted attack

A man was shot twice in the leg as he parked his car in Liverpool.

The 35-year-old man was parking his silver Audi Q7 car when he was shot at on Moor Lane in Fazakerley at about 0930 BST.

Merseyside Police said the gunmen fled the scene in a black BMW type car in the direction of Kirkby.

The victim, who police believe was targeted, suffered two gunshot wounds to his left thigh and was treated in hospital but has since been discharged.

Police have stepped up patrols in the area.
