Power has been restored to hundreds of homes in Cheshire following a problem with a high voltage electricity cable.
In total about 1,300 homes in Runcorn were affected by the fault, which led to some households having no power and others having an intermittent supply.
Generators were brought in while engineers at the Norman Road substation tried to locate the fault.
Supplier Scottish Power said most homes had power restored by 1245 BST with the rest sorted out in the afternoon.
The firm apologised to customers for the inconvenience and said it did not anticipate any further interruptions in power supply.
