Two Great Britain rugby league stars accused of assault in an incident at a house have denied the charges.

Warrington Wolves full-back Stuart Reardon pleaded not guilty to assaulting his wife at a house in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in July.

St Helens stand-off Leon Pryce denied assaulting a man at the same address.

Both players also pleaded not guilty to using violence to gain entry to the house during an appearance at Bradford Magistrates' Court.

A charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on the man, Damon O'Brien, was dropped at the hearing on Thursday.

Mr Reardon denied the alleged assault of his wife, Kay Reardon, at the house on Westwood Hall on 12 July.

Both players were bailed and the case was adjourned until a case management hearing on 16 October. Neither are expected to attend.

Mr Reardon, born in Bradford, played for Bradford Bulls and Salford City Reds before joining the Warrington side.

He has made five appearances for Great Britain but is currently injured after suffering a ruptured Achilles' tendon.

Mr Pryce was also born in the city and was a Bradford Bulls star before moving to St Helens. He has played 17 times for Great Britain.
