Bus vandals attack on family firm

Vandals have attacked a Merseyside bus company, causing damage estimated at £30,000.

Coaches at the Mersey Pride depot in Speke, Merseyside were broken into last night and every window was broken from the inside out.

The small family-run business owns five coaches, including three double-deckers often used on school trips.

It has lead to the cancellation of a number of trips that had been planned for Monday.

Finance director and daughter of the owner, Tracy Hannell said: "It's the final week of school and we're letting so many children down, it's very frustrating."

"Thirty thousand pounds is a lot of money and could put a small business like us out of business, they even smashed the head and tail lights too - what's the world coming to?"

Merseyside Police's Crime scene investigators have been at the depot.
