Anti-toll campaigners are taking their calls for a discount for local Mersey tunnels users to a public meeting.
The objective is part of a manifesto for the future of the tunnels being launched by the Mersey Tunnel Users Association (MTUA) in Wallasey.
Campaigners said people living in Wirral and Liverpool should be given similar discounts to those proposed for the Dartford Tunnel in Kent.
Car users of the Mersey Tunnels pay £1.40 to cross beneath the Mersey.
The crossing, comprising of the Kingsway and Queensway tunnels, links the Wirral peninsula with Liverpool and is run by the region's transport authority, Merseytravel.
MTUA's long-term aim is to convince government to designate the tunnels part of the national road network and abolish the tolls.
Members of all three main political parties were expected to attend the public meeting in Wallasey on Friday evening.
MTUA, which is not aligned to any political party, is calling on motorists who use the tunnels to attend the meeting.
