Three accused of killing teenager

Ahmed Ibrahim (Pic: Merseyside Police) Three men have been charged with the murder of a teenager who died after a brawl between Somali immigrants near a Liverpool Park.

Ahmed Ibrahim, 17, died and another teenager was injured in Croxteth Drive, near Sefton Park, late on Monday night.

Ahmed Kayse Ahmed, 29, of London, and two men from Toxteth - 19-year-old Ali Mohammed and Ibrahim Ahmed, 22 - have been charged with murder.

They will appear before Liverpool City Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Sayid Hassan Effa, of Toxteth, will appear alongside the three men charged with violent disorder.

Two other men, Kadir Mohammed, 22, and Essa Mohammed Ismail, 21, who are also both from Toxteth, appeared in court charged with murder on Friday.

They were remanded in custody by Liverpool magistrates. It brings to five the total of number of people charged with Ahmed's murder.

A post-mortem examination revealed that the teenager died as a result of a "blunt force trauma", Merseyside Police said.
