Inquiry after woman's body found

Police are investigating after a woman's body was found in a Merseyside estuary.

The body of Clare Sussman, 43, from Huntington, Chester, was found in Hightown, Sefton, on Thursday.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said she had been missing from home since 27 February and that her death was being treated as "unexplained at this time".

The results of a post-mortem examination have been withheld while further tests are carried out.

Police are urging anyone who saw Ms Sussman or her car, a black Nissan Micra, registration R865 HDM, between the time she went missing and the time her body was found, to contact them.
