Chip shop fire delays match start
A fire at a chip shop near Everton football club's ground delayed the start of their game against Oldham.
Merseyside fire crews received reports of a fire at a take-away on Goodison Road at 1400 GMT - an hour before the FA Cup match was due to kick off.
Goodison Road was closed and the match delayed for 30 minutes because crowds could not get inside the ground.
Emergency services were concerned over the possibility of explosions due to gas canisters on the premises.
No more details have yet been released on the fire.
