Pair bailed over suspicious death

Police in Cheshire have released two men on bail who were being questioned following the suspicious death of a man on Christmas Eve.

The pair, aged 36 and 44, were arrested and interviewed after the body of Alan Devine was found at a flat on Woodvale Close in Padgate, Warrington.

Tests are being carried out on the 38-year-old's body after a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.

Mr Devine, from Sinclair Drive, was found dead by ambulance staff.

Cheshire Police said it is expected to take some time before the test results are back.
