Art display unveiled at airport

The Beatles A unique collection of art and photography has been unveiled at Liverpool John Lennon Airport to mark the Capital of Culture celebrations.

"Collection 08" features photography and pieces of art from famous periods in the city's history.

The main attraction for the exhibition are Paul Saltzman's super-sized photographs of the Beatles in India.

The pictures of the Fab Four will be displayed in giant light boxes in the departure lounge for visitors to see.

The work of photographer Harry Goodwin will also be included in the exhibition alongside two of John Lennon's suits.

A spokesman for the airport said the display would be a great way to welcome people to the city.
