Low cost airline Ryanair has unveiled plans for a further six destinations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Services to George Best Belfast City Airport, Hungarian capital Budapest, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Bydgoszcz and Lodz in Poland start in October.
Services to Grenoble and Salzburg are also due to re-start in December for the 2007/08 winter ski season.
The latest expansion brings Ryanair's number of routes from the airport to 38 - although last week it cut three.
The three under-performing links to Inverness, Aberdeen and Kaunas will be stopped in November.
Capital importance
Caroline Baldwin, Ryanair's UK Head of Sales and Marketing, said: "Ryanair is Liverpool's largest airline, and these eight new routes will further boost holiday and tourism links from John Lennon Airport.
"Today's announcement also marks the first Ryanair flights from any UK airport to the Canary Islands."
Neil Pakey, airport managing director, said: "These new services once again offer passengers from throughout the North West a range of destinations that will appeal to a cross section of travellers."
"In addition, the link with yet another European capital city is important in the run up to Capital of Culture year with visitors from Budapest soon having direct access to Liverpool."
