A former public schoolboy who killed his parents before using their credit cards on a £30,000 spending spree has been ordered to repay the money.
Brian Blackwell, 20, beat and stabbed his father Sydney, 72, and 61-year-old mother, Jacqueline, at their home in Melling, Merseyside, in July 2004.
Liverpool Crown Court heard that he had six months to repay the money or face an additional 12-month sentence.
Blackwell is already serving life in a young offenders' institution.
He admitted two counts of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility in June 2005 after it emerged he suffered from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
The disorder made Blackwell obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, power and brilliance, the court heard.

On Tuesday, Judge William George ordered him to repay £36,953 under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
Blackwell did not dispute the claim during his brief appearance.
An only child described as an "exemplary student", Blackwell had studied A-Levels at the £7,000-a-year Liverpool College and was weeks away from starting a degree in medicine at Nottingham University.
After killing his parents, he went on holiday to the US with his girlfriend, where he spent £2,200 on a three-night stay in the Presidential Suite of the Plaza Hotel in New York.
When he returned home on 12 August he stayed with his girlfriend's parents claiming he was locked out of his house until his parents returned "from holiday".
The bodies of Mr and Mrs Blackwell were not discovered until three weeks after the killings.
He was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court in June 2005 to life with a minimum tariff of 12 years.
