Reward offered over club murder

Andrew Jones A £10,000 reward has been offered for information over the murder of a teenager who was killed during a night out in Liverpool three years ago.

Andrew Jones, 18, from Walton, was punched in the face outside a nightclub in 2003. He fell and hit his head on the ground, suffering fatal injuries.

A reconstruction was featured on BBC Crimewatch last month and the reward was announced on Wednesday's programme.

A local businessman offered a £5,000 reward, a sum matched by Crimestoppers.

New witnesses

The money would be paid out if information led to the successful arrest and prosecution of any of the persons involved.

A man was charged with manslaughter, but the case was thrown out of court after three days because of a lack of evidence.

Merseyside Police are keen for new witnesses to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact police or Crimestoppers.
